In collaboration with Matsumoto Kiyoshi, USN planned the project, designed the product packaging and assisted in setting targets for the company’s private-label product, sold all across the country.
When designing the packaging, we focused on making the product standout on store shelves. Using handwritten lettering, we expressed bold and honest emotions. Additionally, to communicate a cute and vibrant feel, the packaging incorporated pink and yellow as key colors.
USN aimed to design a product that doesn’t obviously look like a condom box, so that women don’t feel embarrassed leaving them in their rooms. As a result, the Japanese-heavy product received a lot of attention from women, as well as many tourists to Japan.
